Job summary

Mars is seeking a Stationary Engineer to maintain boilers and chillers, troubleshoot air compressors, and respond to factory leaks. The role requires Illinois boiler operation license and refrigerant handling certification, plus strong electrical skills and experience with Trane systems.

Shift is Pitman nights 6 PM–6:30 AM. Role includes installing equipment, soldering/brazing, water piping, and supporting production as needed in a busy plant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred in a technical field; may substitute with 3+ years of technical experience.
• Illinois license to operate boilers and certification to handle refrigerants required.
• Site Facilities Engineer to support Heating, Cooling, Compressed Air and plant utilities.
• Shift: Pitman nights - 6 PM to 6:30 AM.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Boilers and Chillers for the entire plant.
• Troubleshoot and Balance Air Compressors.
• First Response on Factory Leaks.
• Install and support new equipment.
• Ability to solder / braze.
• Become secondary support for Production needs.
• Strong electrical skills including 3 phase 480 volt.
• Use Refrigeration gauges.
• Thread and install water pipes.
• Maintain Air Handlers.
• Familiar with Trane systems.
• Provide infrastructure support.
