Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama seeks a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist for night shifts at UAB St. Vincent's East to perform diagnostic sleep studies and patient care.

You will prepare patients, operate polysomnography equipment, collect data, score and report results, and ensure test accuracy. The role requires RPSGT or Sleep Technologist certification with BRPT/ABSM and BLS within 30 days; a high school diploma with experience or an Associate/Technical degree is acceptable.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire date or transfer date.
• Currently registered as RPSGT with BRPT OR Registered Sleep Technologist with ABSM.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.
• Prepare patient and equipment for testing and interview patient.
• Perform and document testing, monitor patient, and intervene as needed.
• Score, interpret and report sleep study results.
