Qualifications

• Validation of a high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
• Must have CPR certification.
• Minimum of one year as a Sleep Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Perform nighttime and daytime sleep studies including NPSG, CPAP titration.
• Perform physiological calibrations to ensure proper signals.
• Ensure signals are free of artifact during studies.
• Document routine observations during sleep studies.
• Perform operational checks prior to initiating sleep studies.
• Attach electrodes and transducers to patients before studies.
• Score sleep/wake stages and present scoring to Clinical Director.
• Implement interventions like O2 therapy according to policy.
• Fit and educate patients on positive airway pressure interface.
• Clean non-disposable equipment after sleep studies.
• Comply with all safety and infection control regulations.
• Recognize and respond to cardiac emergencies.
