Job summary

UCHealth Memorial Hospital North in Colorado Springs is seeking a Sleep Lab Technologist for night shifts to care for patients undergoing sleep studies, set up testing equipment, and perform the required procedures.

The role requires completion of a polysomnography or respiratory therapy program (preferred) and CPSGT certification with RPSGT within 3 years; BLS must be current at start. This onsite position offers a competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Polysomnography or Respiratory Therapy program preferred.
• CPSGT certification; must be RPSGT within 3 years of CPSGT issuance.
• BLS from AHA or Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer; card valid through start date and 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for patient arrival by setting up equipment and interviewing the patient to identify sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures.
• Performs testing and any additional testing required for the noted sleep disorder.
• Scores, interprets and reports sleep study results; educates patients about test results, sleep disorders, and available resources.
• Prepares, calibrates, repairs, and maintains testing equipment; reports needed repairs and replacements.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking, decisive judgement and ability to work with minimal supervision; operate in a fast-paced environment.
