Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a Polysomnography Technologist to prepare the sleep lab for patients, set up patients, and perform a range of diagnostic sleep studies. The role includes assisting in orienting and training other staff in the department.

The position requires a CAAHEP Polysomnography Program graduate or at least 6 months of relevant experience, plus current BLS certification and an appropriate Respiratory Therapist license with RPSGT or Sleep Tech credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP Polysomnography Program or a minimum of 6 months of experience in sleep medicine or respiratory procedures.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Current license with the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners as a Licensed Respiratory Therapist with RPSGT or Sleep Tech credentials

Responsibilities

• Prepare the lab for patients, patient setup and performing basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff in the department.
