Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora is seeking a Sleep Technician II to perform polysomnographic diagnostic and therapeutic testing to assist sleep clinicians with diagnosing sleep disorders. This PRN, 7pm–7am position supports the sleep study program, sets up monitoring equipment, calibrates signals, and documents patient data while ensuring quality standards.

This role requires BLS, and licensure as RPSGT or RRT with CCSH considered for daytime work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience performing sleep disorders testing.
• BLS certification.
• RPSGT or RRT licensure; CCSH will be considered for daytime clinic.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families during care and completes pre-test paperwork.
• Sets up and calibrates monitoring equipment and ensures data is recorded.
• Performs patient setup and monitors physiological responses during testing.
• Monitors patient condition and notifies physician when intervention is needed.
• Initiates and titrates therapy per physician orders.
• Builds relationships with healthcare providers to support patient care.
• Ensures compliance with AASM and CHCO standards.
• Provides follow up for home therapy.
• Participates in clinic care and documentation.
