University of Rochester is seeking a Sleep Technologist with night shift responsibilities to support the Sleep Medicine lab. The role involves supervising staff, coordinating schedules, and ensuring equipment operates reliably for nocturnal and daytime studies.

You will train new staff, monitor quality indicators, and participate in education sessions for staff and in the community. A strong emphasis on patient care and safety is essential.

Qualificações

• Associate's degree in Polysomnography Technologist with 3 years of polysomnographic testing experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in health care related field preferred.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assumes charge responsibilities and precepts new staff. Reviews scheduled patients and anticipates and resolves problems for the night staff.
• Trains acquiring and scoring focused on the sleep technologist program. Provides educational updates and feedback.
• Calls patients who are direct referrals to obtain medical history for review by Sleep Center physicians as requested.
• Ensures equipment is checked, maintained, and repaired; manages server and vendor communications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
