Job summary

University of Rochester Sleep Medicine is seeking a Sleep Technologist to lead night-shift lab operations. The role requires supervising staff, scoring studies, and analyzing QA data, with active involvement in equipment upgrades and staff education.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Polysomnography is required with 3 years of polysomnographic testing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a health care related field is preferred.
• Licensure as registered polysomnographic technologist (RPSGT) or equivalent is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assumes charge responsibilities and precepts new staff; reviews scheduled patients and resolves problems for night staff.
• Trains acquiring and scoring for the sleep technologist program; provides feedback on trainee studies.
• Develops procedures and schedules to meet operation needs; maintains quality assurance indicators for the lab.
