SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Nursing Assistant 2 for SICU, available full-time, part-time, or hourly per diem night shifts. Under supervision you will perform direct patient care, assist with hygiene, mobility, feeding, and basic treatments in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Candidates must have one year of satisfactory full-time patient care experience or NYS Certified Nursing Assistant certification; 55 B/C eligibility is considered.

Qualificações

• 1 year of satisfactory full-time experience in the provision of simple patient care services under professional supervision.
• Possession of current NYS Certified Nursing Assistant certification may substitute for the required experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provides direct hands-on care to patients, assisting with bathing, dressing, mobility, feeding and daily living activities.
• Performs basic treatments under supervision and operates patient monitoring equipment as directed by clinical staff.
• Attends to patients’ hygiene and comfort, documents vital signs and reports changes to nurses.
