Job summary
SA Recycling in East Point, GA seeks a skilled Shredder (Mill) Supervisor to lead the night shift yard labor force and support the General Manager. You will oversee maintenance of the industrial auto shredder, maximize production efficiency, and uphold strict safety standards in all weather conditions.
The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, PLC troubleshooting, and experience with heavy industrial systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of college education with emphasis in science.
- Fluent bilingual communication in English and Spanish is required.
- Ability to operate, read, and troubleshoot PLCs.
- Experience troubleshooting 9000 HP motors, HPUs, conveyors, and industrial rotors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee nightly operations of the shredder yard and supervise the night shift.
- Monitor critical machinery readings to prevent damage and ensure safety.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
- Maintain safety protocols and respond to emergencies promptly.
- Adjust priorities as yard conditions change and coordinate with maintenance.
- Conduct routine inspections of shredder components and equipment.
