Job summary

JBS Foods in Denver is seeking a Night Shipper to manage loading and organizing product in the Shipping/Receiving Dock. This hourly position reports to the Shipping Lead/Supervisor and operates in a 32°F or below environment, following GMP and OSHA requirements.

You will use forklifts and pallet jacks, build pallets, fill paperwork, and ensure accurate letdowns and order selection while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• English literacy required.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to work 40+ hours per week.
• Ability to work in 32°F or below environment.
• Quick decision making and good judgment.
• Attention to detail.
• Good math skills.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Strong work ethic and attitude.
• Professional appearance.
• Forklift and pallet jack license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and kneel for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate electric forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe manner.
• Use order sheets to accurately select cases of product.
• Build pallets of product according to company standards.
• Load trailers in a safe and organized manner.
• Perform cleaning and general housekeeping tasks each night.
• Perform letdowns accurately in a timely manner.
• Fill out all paperwork accurately and completely.
• Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Follow all OSHA safety regulations.
• Communicate inaccuracies with Leads and Supervisors.
• Follow all Empire Packing/Denver Processing policies and procedures.
