Seneca Family of Agencies seeks a Youth Stabilization Specialist to provide daily care, guidance, and emotional support to youth in a nurturing, structured setting. You will join a multidisciplinary team committed to healing-centered and culturally responsive treatment, upholding respect as a core value and actively supporting each youth’s stabilization and development.

This permanent night-shift role starts around September/October 2026 and is an on-site position in San Jose, CA.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience requirements as listed in the posting.
• Be part of a rotating emergency on-call system, scheduled ahead of time.
• At least 21 years old; TB test clearance and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous supervision, structure, and emotional support to youth in accordance with licensing and agency standards.
• Implement daily routines, behavioral support strategies, and activities aligned with treatment plans.
• Use trauma-informed communication and de-escalation techniques to help youth manage distress.
• Intervene in crisis situations following agency policies to ensure safety.
• Participate in incident reviews, safety planning, and staff debriefings to improve care practices.
• Coordinate transportation for school, medical, social activities, therapy, and court hearings.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide crisis support.
• Complete documentation on time per CDSS STRTP and agency requirements.
