Job summary

Seneca Family of Agencies is seeking a Youth Stabilization Specialist in San Jose, CA. This full-time, on-site role supports youth with daily care, guidance, and emotional support within a healing-centered framework.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to create a safe, structured environment that promotes growth and resilience, including crisis work and life skills facilitation. Swing and Night Shifts are available, with rotating on-call duties and opportunities for bilingual premium

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of experience or
• Associate degree or equivalent + 2 years of applicable experience or
• High school diploma/GED + 3 years of applicable experience or
• Direct supervision and care of youth or families in the social services field

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous supervision, structure, and emotional support to youth in accordance with STRTP licensing and agency standards
• Implement daily routines, behavioral support strategies, and activities consistent with individual treatment plans
• Utilize trauma-informed communication and de-escalation techniques to help youth manage distress or conflict
• Intervene in crisis situations following approved agency and CDSS policies to ensure safety
• Participate in incident reviews, safety planning, and staff debriefings to improve care practices
• Coordinate and assist with making transportation arrangements for school, medical, social activities, therapy appointments, and court hearings
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide crisis support
• Participate in program staff meetings and additional meetings when necessary
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time, consistent with CDSS STRTP and agency requirements
• Participate in weekly supervision with the program supervisor or designee
