Job summary

Seneca Family of Agencies in San Jose seeks a Youth Stabilization Specialist to provide daily care, guidance, and emotional support within our program. You help create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that promotes emotional, behavioral, and social growth for youth in our multidisciplinary team setting.

This role is projected to start September/October 2026. Full-time, on-site. Pay range is $31.83–$34.33 per hour with annual increases and bilingual language proficiency incentives.

Qualifications

• Direct care of youth and families in social services settings
• Trauma-informed communication and de-escalation
• Crisis intervention and safety planning
• Cultural responsiveness and teamwork
• Ability to follow program licensing and agency standards

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous supervision, structure, and emotional support to youth per STRTP licensing and agency standards
• Implement daily routines, behavioral strategies, and activities aligned with treatment plans
• Use trauma-informed communication to help youth manage distress or conflict
• Intervene in crisis situations per agency/CDSS policies to ensure safety
• Participate in incident reviews, safety planning, and staff debriefings
• Coordinate transportation for school, medical, social activities, therapy, and court hearings
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide crisis support
• Attend program staff meetings and other necessary meetings
• Complete documentation accurately and timely per CDSS STRTP and agency requirements
• Engage in weekly supervision with the program supervisor or designee
