Job summary

Seneca Family of Agencies in Sacramento operates the Sacramento T-STRTP, providing stabilizing care for youth 11–17 in a structured, trauma-informed setting. The role is a permanent night shift on-site with a focus on safety, development, and culturally responsive care.

The Youth Stabilization Specialist collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to support emotional, behavioral, and social growth, following individualized treatment plans and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus relevant experience in direct supervision and care of youth or families
• Be part of a rotating emergency on-call system
• At least 21 years old and background checks completed

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous supervision, structure and emotional support per STRTP licensing
• Implement daily routines and behavioral support strategies aligned with treatment plans
• Use trauma-informed communication and de-escalation to help youth manage distress
• Intervene in crisis situations following agency policies to ensure safety
• Participate in incident reviews, safety planning and staff debriefings
• Coordinate transportation for school, medical, and activities
• Participate in on-call rotation for crisis support
• Attend program staff meetings and required trainings
• Complete documentation accurately and on time
• Participate in weekly supervision with supervisor or designee
