Job summary

Parker Hannifin Parflex Division is seeking a Yarn Braider & Winder Operator for the 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 10pm-6am) at our Manitowoc, WI facility. You will set up and run yarn braiding machines, manage bobbins, monitor tension, and ensure quality through each stage of the braiding process.

Overtime is expected after training. Required are a HS diploma or GED and machine operation experience; forklift and MS Office familiarity are beneficial.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up yarn braiding machines; transfer yarn from spools to bobbins.
• Move full bobbins to braider decks and remove empty ones; perform splicing as needed.
• Monitor bobbin footage, yarn condition, and tensions.
• Change tooling and gears to ensure correct dimensions.
• Inspect payoffs, adhesive, braid pattern, ink, and take-ups during braiding.
• Record quality checks to meet standards.
• Package product per instructions and prepare cartons/spools.
• Contribute to process evaluation and continuous improvement.
• Report irregularities to Shift Supervisor or Leader.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
