Job summary

Printpack Inc in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Wrapper for the Converting plant. The Wrapper Operator handles final prep of finished goods for storage and shipping, ensuring proper wrapping, labeling, and quality control while upholding safety standards. Direction comes from the Shift Supervisor on a 7pm-7am rotating schedule, with duties spanning pallet wrapping, inventory, and equipment checks. The role requires forklift experience and warehouse experience.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience is required.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Wrap pallets and apply identification tags per customer specifications while performing final quality control checks.
• Box inventory rolls and skids from rewind operations, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Operate core cutter efficiently, optimizing configurations and minimizing waste.
• Maintain T-CART's and conveyor lines for continuous slitting operations.
• Utilize PRISM/MRP systems for pallet tracking, job checkout, and data entry.
• Create and apply finished goods labels and file job jackets for Finishing Department.
• Operate forklifts and mobile equipment safely, including completing required safety checks.
• Perform regular equipment maintenance checks, including battery inspections and hoist monitoring.
• Maintain accurate wrapping supply inventory and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Complete daily safety and 5S audit logs according to company procedures.
• Maintain department cleanliness through 5S Standards and cleaning checklists.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while performing daily tasks.
