Job summary

Vestas is hiring a Production Team Member for the Windsor facility on 12-hour evening shifts (6pm-6am). You will work to assemble fiberglass blades and related components, following work instructions and safety protocols.

The role involves lifting, loading, and moving materials, with duties including use of equipment and adherence to standard processes. We offer a competitive hourly wage ($23.50-$28.00) plus a $3.00 shift differential, plus benefits and training as part of a comprehensive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of work history in a fast-paced, physical environment, manufacturing preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Basic system skills—Microsoft Office, SAP and Apriso preferred.
• Must pass confined spaces test as required.
• Must be able to pass a respiratory fit test as required.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently operates manufacturing equipment with a strong commitment to safety protocols.
• Adheres to Process Work Instructions and engages in manual production processing to accurately fit and assemble components, such as bolts, screws, shafts, or bearings into a complete assembly.
• Exceed our production benchmarks by completing specific tasks within the designated timeframe, playing a key role in the collective success of our team objectives.
• Lift, position, and/or remove material from work areas.
• Load, stack and transport materials by hand, truck, crane or jib
• Read and comprehend Work Process Instructions and translate that into the ability to perform the tasks.
• As well as any ad hoc duties that may be assigned.
