Job summary

Westerman, Inc. in Casper, WY at the JW Williams facility is hiring for a welder on the night shift with shift differential. This on-site role requires living in Casper or within a reasonable commuting distance; relocation assistance is available during the interview process.

A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered for qualified candidates. Primary duties include reading blueprints, fabricating and welding steel structures, rigging and hoisting, and inspecting welds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year welding experience.
• Must be able to clear a weld assessment screening, including 3G Plate and 2 processes with visual and bend acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Read specifications or blueprints to determine the locations, quantities, or sizes of materials required.
• Bolt aligned structural steel members in position for permanent riveting, bolting, or welding into place.
• Hoist steel beams, girders, or columns into place and position components with cranes or hoisting equipment.
• Weld separators, glycol absorbers, piping large and heavy vessels and flow coils; perform quality x-ray welds on a consistent basis.
• Lays out, positions, and secures parts according to specifications; tack-welds or welds components and assemblies.
• Inspects weld quality and conformance to specifications using measurement tools.
• Performs other related duties as required.
