Job summary

Sewer Equipment is seeking an experienced welder for permanent, full-time night shifts based in Dixon, IL. You will review blueprints, MIG weld assemblies, and ensure quality through inspections. You will cut and fit components with thermal tools and grinders while maintaining a safe work area and properly setting up equipment.

Candidates must read blueprints, have 1–2 years welding experience, and be eligible to work in the United States. Forklift and overhead crane ability are desired.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
• MIG weld in all positions per specifications.
• Demonstrate teamwork in a fast paced shop.
• Use basic math to measure and layout parts.

Responsibilities

• Utilize blueprints to manufacture quality assemblies
• MIG welding all positions
• Document actions by completing produced quality inspections, time forms if applicable
• Perform thermal cutting and grinding to fit components
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations
• Ensure all equipment is properly set up and maintained
