Meyer Utility Structures, a proud subsidiary of Arcosa, Inc., seeks skilled Welders for its Clinton, IL plant. The role emphasizes turning drawings into precise welds, reading measurements, and planning sequences for large assembly work.

The night shift runs 6pm to 4:30am. Applicants should have welding experience (or formal training), strong inspection ability, and reliable attendance to support production and fabrication milestones.

• 2+ years of welding experience or formal training in welding.
• Ability to read measuring devices and interpret drawings.
• Capable of tack welding components in appropriate locations from drawings/travelers.
• Must maintain good attendance.
• Night Shift hours 6pm to 4:30am.

Responsabilidades

• Plan sequences of operation and set up face blocks, jigs, and fixtures.
• Locate and mark centerlines and reference points, then transfer to workpieces.
• Move and align parts into position for welding.
• Remove high spots and bevels as required.
• Straighten warped or bent parts.
• Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, bolt straps, or bolt parts for welding or riveting.
• Use transit to locate reference points and erect ladders/scaffolding for large assemblies.
• Plan sequence of operation.

• Move and align parts into position.
• Remove high spots and bevels.
• Straighten warped parts.
• Position or tighten braces and clamps for welding or riveting.

Meyer Utility Structures is searching for Welders for the Clinton, IL utility pole manufacturing plant. The qualified Night Shift Welder will have strong hands‑on welding skills, visual weld inspection experience, and the ability to plan the sequence of operation.

What You’ll Do:

• Plan sequences of operation and set up face block, jigs, and fixtures
• Locate and mark centerlines and reference points onto floor or face block and transposes them to workpieces
• Move and align parts into position
• Remove high spots and cut bevels
• Straighten warped or bent parts
• Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, bolt straps, or bolt parts in positions for welding or riveting
• Use transit to locate reference points and erect ladders and scaffolding to fit together large assemblies
• Plan sequence of operation

What You'll Need:

• 2+ years of welding experience - combined experience and/or school
• Must be able to read measuring devices, interpret drawings, and tack weld components in appropriate locations based on drawings and travelers
• Must be able to conceptually understand how drawings translate to actual work
• Must have the ability to maintain good attendance
• Night Shift hours 6pm to 4:30am.
