Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures, a subsidiary of Arcosa, Inc., is seeking Night Shift Welders for its Clinton, IL plant. The role emphasizes strong hands-on welding, visual weld inspection, and the ability to plan sequences of operation.

Responsibilities include planning sequences of operation, setting up face blocks, locating centerlines, moving and aligning parts, removing high spots and bevels, and tightening braces for welding. Night shift hours are 6pm–4:30am with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years welding experience (combined work experience or school).
• Ability to read measuring devices and interpret drawings; tack weld components as per travelers.
• Conceptual understanding of how drawings translate to the actual work.
• Maintain good attendance.

• Plan sequences of operation and set up face blocks, jigs, and fixtures.
• Locate and mark centerlines and reference points on floor or fixtures and transfer to workpieces.
• Move and align parts into position.
• Remove high spots and bevels.
• Straighten warped or bent parts.
• Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, bolt straps, or bolt parts for welding or riveting.
• Use transit to locate reference points and erect ladders and scaffolding for large assemblies.
• Plan sequence of operation.

Meyer Utility Structures is searching for Welders for the Clinton, IL utility pole manufacturing plant. The qualified Night Shift Welder will have strong hands‑on welding skills, visual weld inspection experience, and the ability to plan the sequence of operation.

What You'll Do
