Job summary

Big Tex Trailers is seeking a Weld Supervisor to lead a team of welders, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time production of trailers. This hands-on leadership role involves coaching welders, reading blueprints, and troubleshooting issues to maintain high standards.

You will collaborate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance to meet daily goals, uphold welding procedures, and continuously improve processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years welding experience in manufacturing.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes and ability to read blueprints/weld symbols.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead daily welding operations to meet production schedules.
  • Train, coach, and develop welders on safety, quality, and welding techniques.
  • Monitor employee performance and hold team members accountable for attendance, productivity, and quality.
  • Ensure all welds meet engineering specifications and company quality standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions.
  • Assist with welding and fabrication as needed to support production.
  • Identify and resolve production, quality, and equipment issues.
  • Promote and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to improve efficiency and achieve production goals.

Position SummaryThe Weld Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of welders to safely produce high-quality trailers while meeting daily production goals.
