Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Weights & Research Inspector - Night Shift to review inspection reports, inspect shipments on the dock, and verify NMFC classifications.

You will use handheld devices and analyze BOL details to ensure accurate descriptions and class codes. Ideal candidates have 4 years of work or military experience, MS Office skills, strong communication, and the flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• 4 years of work or military experience.
• Explain and document classification corrections for all involved parties.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
• Able to effectively navigate the internet using keywords for research.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
• Available to work days, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Review inspection reports to identify potential issues.
• Conduct inspections of shipments on the dock using handheld devices.
• Review BOL and billing descriptions to verify accuracy.
• Gather information related to the shipment, including dimensions, pictures, and commodity characteristics.
• Research NMFC provisions for applicable description and class.
• Issue document corrections based on NMFC provisions.
• Upload documents and pictures into the image system for review.
• Maintain reports to measure corrections activity and revenue recovery.
