Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is hiring a Weights & Research Inspector on the night shift in Whites Creek, TN 37209.

You will review inspection reports, perform dock inspections with handheld devices, verify BOL descriptions, and gather shipment data, including dimensions and photos. The role requires 4 years of experience or military service, accurate documentation of classification corrections, and strong research and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 4 years of work or military experience.
• Able to explain and document classification corrections for all involved parties.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
• Able to effectively navigate the internet using specific keywords for research.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Review inspection reports to identify potential issues.
• Conduct inspections of shipments on the dock utilizing handheld devices.
• Review BOL and billing descriptions to verify accuracy.
• Gather information related to the shipment, including dimensions, pictures, and commodity characteristics.
• Research commodity information using the NMFC for applicable description and class.
• Issue document corrections based on NMFC provisions.
• Upload documents/pictures into the image system for review.
• Maintain the reports necessary to measure corrections activity and revenue recovery.
