You will analyze wastewater samples, maintain safety, and support plant operations. We value careful, detail-oriented people who can ensure compliance with city, state, and federal regulations. No certifications required; HS diploma; chemistry coursework preferred; 1+ year experience

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three hours of college-level chemistry or equivalent wastewater experience preferred.
• One year as a laboratory technician preferred (environmental, wastewater, or industrial setting).
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Aufgaben

• Receive trucks and verify offloading tickets and manifests.
• Perform routine chemical and physical analysis of wastewater samples.
• Prepare solutions, standards, and reagents per SOP.
• Conduct monthly inventory of chemicals and equipment.
• Clean and maintain laboratory glassware; general housekeeping.
• Perform pre-approval testing and report results.
• Conduct QC/QA tests and maintain QC procedures.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and apparatus.
• Assist plant operators during downtime.
• Ensure adherence to safe work practices and regulations.
• Maintain test data and issue disposal certificates.
• Manage regulatory paperwork (manifests, bills of lading, logbooks).
• Serve as liaison between customers and departments.
• Develop chemistry expertise of liquids to become SME.
• Coordinate with lab supervisor on projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
