Job summary

Liquid Environmental Solutions is looking for a Lab Technician in Houston, TX. You will perform chemical and physical analyses of wastewater samples, prepare reagents, and maintain laboratory equipment while adhering to safety protocols. The role includes handling incoming loads, inventory tasks, and supporting plant operations under a 3rd shift schedule (Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 p.m.

– 6:00 a.m.). Starting pay begins at $24.00 per hour; overtime up to 5–10 hours weekly may be required to support

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year laboratory technician experience preferred.
• Chemistry coursework or related wastewater/industrial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming trucks and verify information on offloading tickets and manifests.
• Perform routine chemical and physical analyses of wastewater/industrial water samples to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare solutions, standards, and reagents for analyses per SOP.
• Perform monthly inventory of chemicals, reagents, and supplies essential to laboratory operation.
• Maintain lab equipment and glassware, and ensure safe work practices and PPE compliance.
• Analyze test results, generate reports, and document disposal certificates for billing.
• Assist plant operators during downtime and support other projects as needed.
