Job summary

Sysco Corp. is seeking a Night Shift warehouse associate to unload and load products from trailers and ensure accurate pallet configurations. You will operate forklifts and other MHE, handling pallets in freezer/cooler environments while following PWMs to protect products and maintain safety.

The role requires teamwork, high attention to detail, and the ability to work in extreme temperatures. You must pass a functional capacity test and obtain MHE certification.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a functional capacity test.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision, management and co-workers.
• Must be able to observe and to communicate observations verbally and in written form to others responsible for equipment operation and maintenance.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; six months warehouse experience preferred. Material handling equipment experience preferred. Reach truck experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound foodservice product, supplies or equipment from trailers onto the dock following PWMs to avoid damage and for proper storage.
• Reconfigure inbound pallets to meet storage requirements.
• Verify temperatures on inbound loads and follow temperature control PWMs.
• Apply shrink wrap to pallets to secure product for transport and storage.
• Load product onto trucks according to truck mapping and instructions; ensure load stability and driver safety.
• Operate forklifts and other MHE safely and in accordance with PWMs.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and report unsafe issues.
