Job summary

Wayfair is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead 1 in the USA to oversee daily warehouse operations within our distribution network. You will lead a team, coordinate receiving, inventory, picking, packing, shipping and returns, and ensure accurate timekeeping and safety compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and experience with warehouse systems. We offer growth opportunities, benefits from day one, and a competitive hourly pay rate.

Qualifications

• Leadership and motivational skills with the ability to make decisions with minimal guidance.
• Floor role requiring physical movement; leading a warehouse team.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly and move 150+ pounds with team lift.
• Experience across multiple departments: receiving, inventory, pick/pack/ship/return.
• Experience with composing and replying to emails.
• Power Equipment experience; ability to operate or train on PITO.
• High Jump experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all warehouse functions and ensure smooth operations.
• Lead the receiving department and ensure functions are used correctly.
• Delegate and assign work to maintain a 100% fill rate.
• Help manage inventory and train within the department.
• Ensure proper use and accountability of tools.
• Ensure hours and functions are recorded correctly (e.g. Time clocks).
• Be responsible for answering emails and verbal questions in a timely manner.
• Keep product moving and oversee the cleanliness of the department.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
