Job summary

Great Lakes Wine & Spirits is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for the Night Shift at our Highland Park/Detroit area depots. You will oversee daily assignments, support managers, and coordinate with teams to meet volume, safety, and quality goals.

The role emphasizes safety, training, payroll logs, overtime approvals, and performance coaching. Requires 2–3 years in warehouse lead roles and 5+ years in warehouse sorting/picking; ability to operate equipment; English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 consecutive years of experience in a warehouse lead or supervisor role using warehouse management systems.
• Minimum 5 years of experience sorting and picking or production in a warehouse distribution center (food and beverage industry preferred).
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment and be active on your feet for an entire shift.
• Strong communication with management and staff; adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational performance by assisting and covering fellow managers and supervisors with daily assignments, considering volume, call-offs, and training needs.
• Maintain logs pertinent to payroll and attendance and approve overtime.
• Conduct team meetings and coach direct reports to meet nightly objectives.
• Ensure safety guidelines, PPE compliance, and proper use of equipment are followed.
• Monitor and improve shift performance, accountability, and adherence to SOPs.
