Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking an Overnight Receiving Supervisor to lead store warehouse operations, supervise warehouse staff, and manage freight schedules. The role focuses on directing daily shipping, receiving, inventory control, and equipment maintenance with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Minimum 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse setting is preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, and computer skills are required, with extended hours during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations.
• Strong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systems.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlines.
• Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Schedule warehouse personnel daily to ensure proper staffing for shipping and receiving.
• Direct day-to-day warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control, etc.
• Manage Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and product staging.
• Maintain warehouse equipment with preventive maintenance; communicate repairs as needed.
• Ensure safe, efficient equipment and adherence to safety procedures.
• Oversee warehouse safety programs to comply with OSHA regulations.
• Train associates and enforce SOPs; conduct progressive discipline as needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
• Complete activity reports for management; monitor paperwork flow from Receiving to Inventory Control.
• Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
• Execute Storage Buy Audit COP; ensure proper product counting and storage.
