Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers is seeking a Receiver to ensure accurate, damage-free merchandise arrives at the facility. You will verify shipments, record data, and maintain inventory levels with a focus on cycle counts and accuracy.

The role operates on a late-night shift (Sun–Thu 11:30pm–7:30am or later) in a perishable warehouse, with pay at $23/hr. Strong attention to detail, safety, and reliable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

• Must obtain Receiving Certification.
• Ability to operate MHE and pallet jack or forklift.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in records.
• Proficient in basic math and reading skills; basic computer literacy.
• Respect safety policies and maintain reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Examine contents and compare with records to verify incoming shipment accuracy.
• Record shipment data into the system and maintain counts for inbound freight.
• Assist with inventory control and cycle/directed counting; resolve shortages or variances.
• Monitor warehouse management system for open invoices and status updates.
• Support smooth flow from receiving to shipping and flag issues.
• Label pallets and verify inbound freight against PO and B/L; document discrepancies.
• Set up items/slots for efficient receiving and shipping; watch for inventory hazards.
• Operate WMS and RF devices to pick and move products.
• Audit slots and ensure correct rotation; report pest activity if observed.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly tasks as per SOP; other duties as assigned.
