Job summary

Reliance, Inc. is seeking candidates for a 3rd shift position (Sunday–Thursday, 10pm–6:30am) in the plant family. The role involves supervising and performing metals processing and distribution tasks, operating specialized equipment, and supporting warehousing activities in a safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities include moving inventory, picking/packing orders, tagging materials, and ensuring accurate documentation while complying with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School diploma/GED preferred.
• Able to meet Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) quality criteria as defined by regulations/policy.
• Warehousing and material handling experience preferred.
• Certification to operate motorized material handling and rigging equipment required.
• Clear oral and written communication skills.
• Adequate manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Basic measurement skills for length/weight.
• Basic arithmetic skills for decimals/fractions.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time.
• Ability to make sound decisions based on knowledge/judgment.
• Ability to develop good working relationships with supervisors and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Generally responsible for completing basic, routine tasks with detailed instructions.
• Move inventory or equipment, fill customer orders, pull material, unload/load trucks, maintain warehouse upkeep.
• Receive, place/return items into stock locations.
• Pull and assemble orders based on work/shipping orders or documentation.
• Tag material for proper identification and complete required documentation.
• Move material using forklift, side loader, or crane.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Sort and place material on racks or bins by size/type/product code.
• Spot checks on inventory and tagging per direction.
• Report irregularities to supervisor and restock material.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
