Job summary

Excell Marketing LC in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Warehouse Distribution Manager for the 3rd shift (Mon–Thu 10:30 pm–8:00 am) to oversee the distribution of new shipments, manage pick and put lines, quick ships and DC shipments at our South Warehouse. The role reports to the Warehouse Manager and Director of Warehouse Operations.

The position requires leadership of distribution teams, coordination with vendors, and adherence to safety, efficiency, and cost controls.

Qualifications

• 2-3 year of warehouse supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Ability to lead and direct others.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs. repetitively.
• Ability to work within established time and quality control goals for this area.
• Ability to learn and master new tasks quickly.

Responsibilities

• Manage all team members assigned to the distribution areas of the warehouse.
• Resolve conflicts between team members through coaching and discipline as necessary.
• Establish daily responsibilities and ensure daily distribution goals are met.
• Assign labor resources to ensure adequate coverage across distribution areas.
• Collaborate with warehouse management to determine staffing needs and allocations.
• Maintain a motivational leadership approach for the team.
• Establish metrics for core processes and track results.
• Prepare sales orders for fulfillment and ensure inventory is available.
• Coordinate shipping needs with vendors in conjunction with the Director of Warehouse Operations.
• Manage warehouse supply needs and costs; ensure cleanliness and organization.
