Job summary

Staples Advantage Canada in Putnam, CT seeks a Warehouse Associate to perform various warehouse roles including bulk handling, porter, replenishment, receiving/putaway, returns, and shipping. The role requires operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment while adhering to safety procedures.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 100 lbs and work a night shift schedule. Flexibility to move between SC2 roles as needed and overtime availability for full-time employment are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum three months related experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent training.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• Basic English language skills (verbal and written).
• Overtime may be required for full-time associates.
• Must be able to lift 70–100 pounds by hand.
• Must wear safety shoes.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment to pick products up to 100 lbs and move within the warehouse.
• Assist with general cleaning and maintenance duties as needed.
• Unloading trucks and palletizing products in a safe manner.
• Assist with receiving, putaway, returns, and shipping processes.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in work areas.
