Job summary

VCA Loomis Basin is a 24/7 AAHA-accredited hospital seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician Assistant for our night shift team. This role supports high-quality patient care across emergency and general practice services.

You will aid Veterinary Technicians, help restrain patients for procedures, and keep kennels and equipment clean, supporting a fast-paced hospital environment with a strong focus on teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Patient care: walking, ensuring access to clean water, and clean housing
• Assisting Veterinary Technicians & Assistants with administering fluids, patient restraint, and other basic tasks
• Restraint for Radiographer
• Cleaning patient spaces and kennels
• Cleaning and packing instruments
• Stocking hospital departments to ensure smooth workflow
• Laundry for hospital to ensure towels, blankets and bedding are available when needed
