Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Foreman to lead and perform maintenance on heavy trucks and related equipment. The role requires diagnosing defects, executing repairs, and ensuring safety standards across the fleet.

You will train technicians, manage maintenance records in SAP, and coordinate with management on vehicle status. The position demands hands-on experience, tool readiness, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years performing repair and maintenance on heavy trucks and diesel engine vehicles.
• Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot or repair vehicle or component failure.
• Waste industry experience preferred.
• CDL B is preferred.
• DOT Medical Card is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance staff and perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vehicles.
• Communicate status with management regarding vehicle and equipment conditions.
• Follow preventive maintenance programs and company safety policies.
• Maintain records (time, maintenance orders, parts usage) in SAP.
• Perform roadside repairs and test drives as needed.
• Train and assess technicians to ensure proper completion of duties.
