Nationwide Children's Hospital Inc in Columbus, OH seeks a registered nurse to manage vascular access devices for pediatric patients. 36 hours weekly, night shifts 7p–7a, every third weekend and holiday rotation.

BSN/ADN with commitment to BSN within 5 years, and Ohio RN licensure required. Responsibilities include selecting access devices, caring for PICCs and other lines, monitoring for complications, providing patient/family education, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN required with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years.
• Current Ohio RN licensure required.
• 1 year clinical experience in relevant area preferred.
• Strong communication and teaching abilities required.

Responsabilités

• Assess patients' vascular access needs and select appropriate device.
• Care for peripheral IVs, midline, and PICCs.
• Monitor devices for infection, occlusion, or extravasation.
• Educate patients and families on vascular access care.
• Collaborate to develop vascular access policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement to enhance safety and care.
