Job summary

Southern Champion Tray is seeking a Utility Operator for the finishing department on the night shift (Mon-Fri, 6:25 PM–2:35 AM EST) at the Amnicola Plant in Chattanooga, TN. You will back up key positions, support the Gluer and Die Shop, and collaborate across Web Cutting and Baler operations.

This role requires a GED or high school diploma and basic computer skills. Responsibilities include training across departments, maintaining robotic equipment, ensuring safety and quality, and handling

Responsibilities

• The Utility Operator supports key site positions and maintains operations during planned or unplanned absences.
• Acts as primary contact in the Gluer and Die Shop; trains across Web Cutting, Die Shop, Stock Puller and Baler Operation.
• Assist in Die Shop operations including pin cylinders, die chase loading/unloading, and die component inventory management.
• Train on operation, setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Web Cutter(s), Gluers, In-Line Window Machines and related automation.
• Maintain robotic equipment and coordinate with team to meet safety, quality and efficiency goals.
• Ensure documentation and data entry, including scheduling, job tickets, quality samples and shop floor data collection.
• Possibly train new employees on SCT safety policies and operating standards.
• Support material handling of Paperboard Rolls, Raw Materials, WIP and Finished Goods pallets.
