Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S in Clayton, NC seeks an Utilities Maintenance Technician II for night shifts to support and improve all facility maintenance activities. You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot and install new equipment, and participate in plant shutdowns while mentoring junior team members.

The role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and control systems knowledge, SAP/CMMS experience, and the ability to work rotating nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a relevant field required.
• Minimum four (4) years of experience in mechanical, electrical and/or control systems required.
• High School Diploma/GED with minimum six (6) years of relevant experience accepted.
• Ability to lead and guide technicians daily tasks and activities.
• Experience with automated records systems such as SAP/CMMS preferred.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documents.
• Experience planning/organizing work and adjusting daily plans.
• Systematic problem solving and troubleshooting with data-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve preventive and predictive maintenance across facilities.
• Repair, troubleshoot, and install new equipment; participate in plant shutdowns.
• Lead and mentor junior technicians in specialized areas.
• Document maintenance activities in SAP and communicate in shift turnover reports.
• Collaborate with process owners to improve performance and reliability of equipment.
• Perform site rounds and inspections of utilities to ensure compliant operations.
• Develop maintenance procedures and spare parts lists for assigned processes.
• Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings to support projects.
