Job summary

Frederick Health Hospital, Inc. is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to work on an as-needed basis. The role involves performing ultrasound studies across diverse patient ages, operating with limited supervision in a radiology setting in Frederick, Maryland.

You will ensure high-quality imaging, assist during ultrasound-guided procedures, manage PACS/HIS workflows, and adhere to safety standards and institutional policies as part of the Radiology team.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Graduate of a JRCERT approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Credential from ARDMS as RDMS or within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of sonographic examinations (abdomen, OB, etc.) and record data for radiologist interpretation.
• Select proper settings and protocols for scans.
• Transmit images to PACS for interpretation and record.
• Assist radiologist during ultrasound-guided procedures.
• Obtain optimal images to aid accurate diagnoses.
• Monitor equipment status and ensure clean, organized workspace.
