Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to work on an as-needed basis, performing a variety of diagnostic sonographic exams during 12-hour night shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holiday rotations under limited supervision.

You will acquire high-quality images, transmit to PACS, assist radiologists with procedures, ensure patient safety and comfort, and maintain equipment and records in a busy radiology department.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Graduate of a JRCERT approved program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Credential from ARDMS as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or eligible within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of sonographic examinations (abdomen, OB, etc.) with data for radiologist interpretation.
• Transmits images to PACS for interpretation and permanent record.
• Assists radiologist during ultrasound-guided procedures.
• Maintains equipment and cleanliness of the exam area.
• Ensures patient records are complete and accurate prior to exam completion.
