Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician for night shifts in Albuquerque, NM. The role requires registered sonographer credentials, NM licensure, and ARDMS certification within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
• NM Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• ARDMS certification within one year of hire.
• Must hold and maintain current New Mexico State Licensure (DMS-NM). Provisional or temp license may be considered.
• Current BLS.
• Two years of radiology ultrasound-specific college coursework preferred.
• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transmit images to PACS.
• Schedule ultrasound cases with other patient exams.
• Educate patient before scanning procedure and answer questions.
• Document exam data and maintain records; use Radiology Information System and hospital information systems.
• Assist physician in procedures such as needle biopsies, amniocentesis, renal biopsies; maintain sterile technique.
• Maintain department policies, safety and infection control standards.
• Position and transfer patients.
• Maintain upkeep of department and equipment; order and stock supplies.
• Attend staff meetings and continuing education.
• Take call for ultrasound procedures and supervise student ultrasound technologists.

Education
