Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for the Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit on a nights 3x12hrs shift in Denton, Texas. The unit is a 25-bed PCU with a patient ratio around 4:1, with acuity requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke certifications, and TX or compact RN license.

Start ASAP for a 13-week assignment with lodging and meals stipends included. Position offers competitive weekly pay of approximately $1,644 with breakdowns including regular hours, stipends, lodging, and meals, and

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the PCU/Telemetry setting.
• Preceptor or charge nurse experience preferred.
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required.
• One professional reference required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to stroke, cardiac drip, and post-procedure patients in PCU.
• Monitor telemetry and operate BiPAP and related equipment.
• Document using Meditech EMR and maintain patient safety.
• Maintain patient ratios and adjust during staffing shortages.
