American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN - Telemetry for a Cardiac Stepdown unit in Chattanooga, TN. Night shift, 3x12s, 36 hours per week, 13 weeks with 1 opening. ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required, RN license TN or compact, and cardiac telemetry experience preferred. Unit uses Meditech, Pyxis, and Philips telemetry.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (TN or compact) required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Cardiac knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips required.
• Experience with chest tube management, wound vac management, and EKGs required.
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration.
• One professional reference required.

Responsibilities

• Perform bedside and hourly rounding with 5 P's checked.
• Document telemetry application and rhythm strips each shift.
• No Pass Zone policy enforced for bed alarms, call lights, and IV alarms.
• Dress code: RN in navy scrubs, CNA/PCT in ceil blue scrub sets with optional jacket.
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months.
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted.
