Job summary

TalentBurst, Inc is seeking a travel Medical Lab Scientist for a position in Pittsfield, Maine. The traveler will work 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with a 13-month duration and a 1830-0700 schedule, starting 10/26/2026.

Primary responsibilities include specimen handling, testing, reporting, QA/QC, and adherence to safety guidelines. Required education includes a BS in Medical Technology or related field, possible MT/MLT certification, and licensure as applicable.

Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology preferred or related sciences; foreign candidates must provide credential evaluation.
• Must be eligible for MT/MLT certification (ASCP or AMT).
• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in highly complex testing.
• National and state licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting and record-keeping.
• Maintain proficiency testing records and ensure testing aligns with patient specimens.
• Analyze specimens using approved laboratory procedures.
• Review and release test results.
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety guidelines.
