Job summary

Talentburst,-Inc is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist for a 13-week travel assignment in Dover-Foxcroft, ME. The role requires MLS ASCP or MT AMT certification, and involves 36 hours per week across 3 shifts (8:00 AM–8:30 PM).

The ideal candidate will have a BS in Medical Technology or related field, valid national certification, and at least 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in high-complexity testing. Vaccination and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of basic lab testing required.
• Ability to work in multiple computer systems.
• Knowledge of QC and QA and laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow lab procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting and record keeping.
• Maintain records showing proficiency testing is conducted properly.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures.
• Review and release test results.
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA guidelines and safety procedures.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation and calibrations.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and report to supervisor.
• Document corrective actions for deviations.
