Job summary

J Polep Distribution Services/NCD in Chicopee, MA seeks a Transportation Dispatcher for the night shift, 11:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., to coordinate driver loads and routes and ensure on-time deliveries.

You will monitor fleet performance, support safety and regulatory compliance, and communicate updates to customers and internal teams while collaborating across departments in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Supervisory, transportation, and training skills.
• Effective communication with attention to detail and good decision making.
• Basic working knowledge of menu driven computer applications including MS Office.
• Team oriented with interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance.
• Comfortable working with customers as well as other departments.
• Able to operate in a warehouse terminal environment and use power industrial trucks.

Responsibilities

• Dispatching drivers to assign loads and routes.
• Coordinate workflow to ensure timely and accurate customer deliveries.
• Support daily driver activities including safety, DOT compliance, and deliveries management.
• Provide feedback to drivers on performance and safety.
• Monitor fleet performance and route adherence.
• Answer phones and emails; coordinate with vendors for repairs.
• Communicate delivery time updates to customers and internal teams.
