Job summary

Vital Farms - Current Crew Members is seeking a Training Specialist for the night shift to lead in-person training for all processing job tasks. You will measure and document testing of the Processing Tier Performance system and drive continuous improvement through documented training and audits.

The role reports to the Plant Production Manager and collaborates with Shift Supervisors, Safety and Training, and Leads to meet training targets and KPI’s.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English for safety reasons.
• 1 year of work experience in production/manufacturing.
• Basic math skills: adding, subtracting, basic division.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and upkeep of the all shift cross-training matrix and signed training checklist for all crew members.
• Strategic partnering with Safety and Training Supervisor, Shift Supervisors, and Leads to facilitate training and capture training targets.
• Scheduling and completion of the training activities for Crew Members.
• Routine auditing of processing tasks to ensure SOP, WI, and/or OPL compliance.
• Daily contribution toward a submission of a weekly training summary.
• Routine education and auditing of employee proficiency in understanding company goals and metrics.
• Data collection related to training toward KPI’s and other company metrics.
• Maintenance of Crew training documentation, storage, and organization.
• Recording and correction of deficits in efficiency due to training necessity and/or non-adherence of documentation.
• Incorporation of continuous improvement projects into training regimen and SOP/WI/OPL documentation.
• Report on individual crew member training status to Supervisors, Leads, and Production Manager.
• Assisting in creating new SOPs and OPLs to support new processes or investments.
• Will complete other duties as assigned by Plant Production Manager.
