Job summary

Alleguard is seeking a 3rd Shift Tool Setter to inspect and install tooling for the production process. This role provides training and guidance to the tool setting/maintenance team under the Maintenance Manager. The position emphasizes tool preparation, maintenance, and repair in a manufacturing setting.

The candidate will work evenings, with physical duties including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods. A strong background in tooling, blueprints, and shop safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with hand and power tools for production tooling maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints, CADD drawings and work instructions.
• Ability to inspect equipment and identify root causes of malfunctions.
• Organized and able to maintain orderly tool storage.
• Knowledge of tooling installation and mold changes.

Responsibilities

• Removes tools from press, inspects for damage, and stores them properly.
• Retrieves tools and prepares them for production per plan and installs tooling.
• Performs preventive maintenance on fill guns and production equipment.
• Inspects molds and receiver frames regularly.
• Assists with daily preventive maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Documents mold changes and repairs.
• Complies with environmental and safety requirements.
• Follows environmental and safety policies.
• Supports other duties as assigned.
